Dear Reader,

Reserve your copy of Palestine Bleeds For You ahead of its worldwide June 9 release.

What’s inside? Scroll to the end for the official book description, but along the way make sure to pause and read snippets of the reviews, take a tour inside via a couple of linked essays, or watch my interview on the Sumud Podcast, which episode aired on May 15, 2026 – commemorated in Palestine as the 78th anniversary of the Nakba.

One of the most authentically Palestinian books ever written.
Tony Hanania, prize-winning author of Homesick, Unreal City, and the forthcoming Midnight At Noon

DC-Baltimore area connections, expect to get one more email later in the month with announcements of launch events.

That’s it for this newsletter, apart from a photo from a poetry reading on May 15th at the Museum of the Palestinian People, DC. Many thanks to George Harb for the invitation, as well as to Dr. Ed Hasan for the Sumud interview, and Dr. Tabish Zaman for recording another interview (to appear on the podcast Builders of the Broken Bazaar).

With love,
Ramsey Hanhan

Palestine Bleeds For You

Fomite Press, 2026, 218 pages

The shrieks of warplanes on their way to bomb Gaza provoked Ramsey Hanhan to write. This collection of poetry and essays plumbs the depths of human thought, religion, history, and culture in search of hope amid the world’s criminal silence. In an authentic Palestinian voice, Hanhan sketches the workings of the global machinery of oppression, revealing the centrality of Palestine’s liberation to decolonization, social justice, and environmental justice struggles around the world. “The book I never wanted to write.”

Available to talk about Palestine and books.
